Really. I don't see Gay guy when I try to read a Yaoi doujin, a fan fiction or even, sometimes, a "official" Yaoi manga. They're just extremly girly character (most of the time) who are sharing a extremly strange and disturbing relationship. It looks like a girl (what you called the "uke", the little one with big eyes most of the time, who is always dominated by the other one BUT who sooo like it) and a boy (the "seme", this creppy guy who is supposed to looks appealing but who is just scary... And a pedo, sometimes. Like to be the dominant.)
This kind of mentality is seriously strange. I don't see any interest in it, and I really don't undersant why Gay people have to be like that in almost all your Yaoi stuff... Gay people aren't supposed to be different in their relationship just because they aren't straight. It's because of this kind of crappy fandom than I really don't like Yaoi. And, damn it... The Uke x Seme thing really creeps me out.
So I will enjoy Yaoi when I'll see REAL looking homosexual people having a normal relationship. That's way more interesting than a stupid "KAWAIIDESUNE" romance based on a horrible relationship.

yaoi is largely fetishization of homosexual relationships between males for female entertainment/erotica.
but the men depicted in yaoi are still "true gay guys" by the definition; they identify as male and are in same-sex relationships.
